Colette Gardiner (with Bobby), Founding Teacher

Colette Gardiner is a long-time teacher, priestess, activist and healer, who has always had strong ties to Faeri. A descendant of European settlers on this unceded land, she has lived her whole life in Oregon and is deeply devoted to the Pacific NW. She started her active magical practice almost 40 years ago, when she lived in a consensus based, land collective in Southern Oregon. Since then she has studied extensively, reading widely on witchcraft and related arts, forming and working in several small ritual groups. Born under a disseminating moon phase, she loves to share info with others through classes and ritual. Colette has been a teacher for over forty years and is still excited by every class. She is inspired by her oldest ancestors, who remember how to live in balance on this earth, the queer mysterious ones, who ask us to remember to be who we truly are, and the land spirits that hold us. She is a Reclaiming Initiate, and a Faeri Initiate. Colette is also a founding member of GoddessIs, a ritual theatre collective, was a member of Strand by Strand, a Reclaiming group that facilitated public ritual, and was a member of Black Cross Health Collective.

She also has a background in clinical herbalism, horticulture, women's health care, as well as an intense interest in all plants.

Colette was active in community herbalism for many years, organizing and teaching at local and national herbal conferences. As an herbalist she was a prolific writer of short articles and zines. Published writings include “Nourishing the Menstrual Cycle”, featured writings in We’Moon Almanac and publication in several anthologies. Since 2003, she has been the founder and teacher at the Golden Web Mystery School in Portland, Oregon, formerly Blue Iris Mystery School. In her spare time, she walks the wild places and local mountains of her beloved Columbia River Gorge.

“I’m excited and honored to be a part of your magical journey and learning with you…”
